Primary Eyecare Cornwall & Isles of Scilly is a Local Optical Committee (LOC) company.  Our company is non-profit and acts as the vehicle to enable Cornwall and Isles of Scilly LOC to deliver enhanced optometric eyecare in Cornwall.

The Primary Eyecare company holds a single commissioning contract with the CCG in Cornwall. This allows us to Sub-contract to any approved and accredited practice within the County.

As a company we take advice and support from the Local Optometric Commitee Support unit (LOCSU). LOCSU's advice is to use a company limited by guarantee, with LOCSU as the member to facilitate (LOCSU is itself a company limited by guarantee whose members are ABDO, AOP and FODO) and the Directors appointed by the LOC.
